Registration Options

The Volunteer Matrix system is specifically designed to be extremely flexible to suit your needs as perfectly as possible.

There are at least 3 Volunteer Registration options, and the ability to use all 3.
  1. Full Registration form, Skills & Interests, Orientation (& Liability Waiver)

Often the Full registration form will include: (Your registration may include all or very limited details as desired.)
    Registration Form
    • personal info and contact details
    • emergency contact info
    • religious or other group affiliations
    • demographics.

Skills & Interests (can be totally eliminated)
    • As many categories as desired
    • Select one, or select many, or select skill level from list (Vol. database is searchable by these)

    Orientation (can be totally eliminated)
    • As many or as few pages as desired (typically one main topic per page: About, Typical Vol. date, Safety, etc)
    • May include questions with True/False response to ensure they read the materials (or no questions)

Liability Waiver & Electronic Documents - detailed info here (can be totally eliminated)
    • May be on screen pre-filled in with the volunteers info to be printed on their printer (HTML)
    • May be your provided PDF forms (any number of different files OK, i.e. Adult, Minor, etc).
    • May be "electronic", and configured to different "signature" options (checkbox, initials, etc). Please check with your organizations attorneys and insurance company before choosing this option. Volunteer Matrix makes NO representation that this will be legal or enforceable in any court of law.
    • Liability Waiver expiration tracking and reminders. Always know for sure if a new waiver is due.
  2. Express Registration

Usually when a volunteer clicks a "sign up" button on a date on your volunteer calendar,  this is the preferred registration they are asked to fill out. The Express Registration was borne out of corporate sponsors who wanted their employee/volunteers to not have to spend as much time as the full registration asks for.
    • personal info and contact details
    • Community Service/Court Ordered Service
    • Automated "Welcome" email very often includes a request that the volunteer completes the full registration/skills/orientation before their volunteer date.
  3. Brief Registration

This registration is usually reserved only for use in the Kiosk Mode (on site sign ups and sign ins) so that a minimum of time is spent for each person so that a large number of volunteers can quickly get to their volunteer day.
    • Limited personal & contact info
    • Automated "Welcome" email very often includes a request that the volunteer completes the full registration/skills/orientation before their volunteer date.

The system is designed such that you can entirely eliminate the Express Registration, and require the completion of the full registration before a volunteer can sign up for a date.
